Worked here for over 6 years. There is no "assistant owner".......whatever that could possibly even be. There is one owner, Pat Murphy, and he has proven to be nothing but a fair, honest and respected owner by all that truly know him. This is not to be confused with someone who worked there for only 2 weeks. Any employer will not tolerate a new employee missing/leaving early in such a short period of time. That's why it's called a "probationary period." It is extremely hot in this workplace, particularly during the summer months, but we are provided fans and allowed to leave the bay doors open to allow fresh air in at all times. The heat in the building is simply caused by 2 very large tempering furnaces that are necessary to operate this business. All employees, prior to hiring, are taken on an escorted walk-thru of the entire plant, and can clearly see (and feel) the working conditions of the job. Techni-Glass employs over 100 people, many of whom have been there longer than 10 years, as well as several that have been there since the company opened it's doors 20 years ago. There is also no possible way that someone employed there for less than 2 weeks would have ANY knowledge whatsoever of product pricing, or have any idea of the raw materials cost and overhead involved to make/fabricate the products offered at Techni-Glass. If you are a hard-working individual looking for a job that offers competitive wages, great benefits (including health/dental/vision/401k with employer match/and even cancer insurance), I would highly recommend you attempt to get on at Techni-Glass.
Go a half mile down the road there's a huge vacant lot, you can park there for the rest of your life if you want.
